Why Community is So Important – Creating 3rdSpace
Over the years, I’ve come to realise that improving health isn’t just about better nutrition, the right supplements, or the latest technology. While these all have their place, many of the people I’ve worked with over the past 25 years have been searching for something deeper—a place where they feel understood, supported, and connected.
Modern life has become increasingly divided between two worlds: home and work. Both are important, but neither always provides the space we need to reflect, recover, grow, and simply be ourselves.
Historically, communities had a “third place”—a church, sporting club, community hall, local café, or gathering place where people came together to share ideas, learn from one another, and build meaningful relationships. These environments helped create a sense of belonging and resilience. As many of these spaces have disappeared, so too has an important part of what supports our health and wellbeing.
Third Space is our response to that loss.
It is not a therapy, a program, or a membership based on achieving another goal. It is a community built around the understanding that human beings adapt better when they feel connected—to themselves, to others, and to a shared purpose.
At Core Naturopathics, we see every day how stress affects the body. We also see how recovery is strengthened through encouragement, shared experiences, and genuine relationships. Healing is often easier when we realise we are not walking the journey alone.
Third Space will bring together people who are curious about health, resilience, personal growth, and living with greater intention. Through workshops, conversations, breathwork, somatic practices, guest speakers, and shared experiences, we hope to create an environment where learning is practical, growth is supported, and connection happens naturally.
You don’t need to have all the answers. You don’t need to be at a particular stage of your health journey. You simply need to be open to exploring, learning, and connecting with others who value growth as much as you do.
My hope is that Third Space becomes more than an event. I hope it becomes a community where people can return regularly to reconnect, recharge, and continue developing the skills that help them navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience.
If this philosophy resonates with you, we’d love you to join us. Together, we can create a space where health is not simply something we pursue individually, but something we strengthen together.
